Yale College celebrate their Vocational Heroes

Nominated as a vocational hero by Yale College, Andrew Williams is shared celebrations for VQ Day with Josh Nielson, Kevin Jones, Neil Lloyd, Daniel Cartwright and Faye Rumbles for outstanding commitment and achievement.
The students have been highlighted by Yale College as Wednesday 24th June was VQ Day, a national celebratory day in the educational calendar shining a spotlight on the successes of those who achieve vocational qualifications.
Andrew, level 3 BTEC National Diploma Art & Design student at the College, has “whole heartedly engaged” in his studies. Kelloggs employees Josh and Daniel impressed mentors and employers with their dedicated work-based learning on their level 3 Engineering Maintenance courses. Kevin and Neil, who achieved NVQ LATA levels 3 & 4 alongside demanding jobs are commended for their determination. First year National Diploma Business Studies student Faye made incredible progress achieving a distinction in her First Diploma and is keeping up her high standards with ambitions to go to university next year.
Yale College is one of the largest providers of full-time vocational qualifications in Wales. With a cohort of around 3500 full-time students, over 2000 studying a vocational qualification. A large percentage of its 10,000 part-time students access professional and work based learning courses for their jobs in all sectors of the local economy.
