Yale College Introductory and First Diploma Art, Design and Media students have made good use of their creativity to raise money for Hope House Hospice.
Rachel Jones from Hope House visited Yale’s Art department this week to receive £227.00 for the charity. Appreciating the work of the learners, she enjoyed chatting with students who used their willow weaving skills to make a fantastic collection of environmentally friendly artefacts including plant supports and crafted hand made badges and Welsh influenced tiles and mugs to sell in Yale’s Student Market.
Inspired by the College’s “Made in Wales” exhibition at the Memorial Art Gallery, the students were delighted with the proceeds made through college and local community support who relished the opportunity to purchase the individual goods.
